I am a freelance web producer based in Downtown Minneapolis (but originally from San Antonio, Texas). While my education background is primarily in journalism, I've been working in the web and new media fields for the past three years.

I received my BA in Journalism and Political Science from Baylor University in Waco, Texas in 2005. I then worked as the business and government reporter for a newspaper in St. Louis, Mo., for about a year until a position in new media publishing opened up. In 2008, I graduated from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Chicago with an MS in Journalism/New Media. While in Chicago, I was the managing editor and web producer for the popular news site Windy Citizen. I also worked as the Web Marketing Manager and Internet Consultant for a business consulting company.

In 2009, I moved to the Twin Cities and began developing websites for friends and family. It became something I loved doing, and thus, Sandi Villarreal Web Production was born.
